“Yet he often withdrew to deserted places and prayed.”
— Luke 5:16

This year we will focus on establishing the patterns of Jesus so that we have the posture of heaven. Our first pattern of 2020 is the pattern of Withdraw & Return. That we withdraw from the pace and demands of life to abide in the peace and power of Jesus. It is what Jesus did even as the crowds surrounded him and the sick came to him.. he often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16).

OUR HOPE IS THAT YOU WITHDRAW TO SEE JESUS AND RETURN LOOKING MORE LIKE HIM.

As John Mark Comer says, “In the chaos of the urban, digital age, it’s easier than ever before to “gain the whole world, and yet lose your soul.” How do we stay emotionally and spiritually alive and awake? Among the ancient practices of the way “silence and solitude” is the number one practice for apprenticeship to Jesus. Simply put, it’s a moment of intentional time in the quiet to be alone with God. In the modern era, this just might be the first step to a life well lived.”

So the two key questions… how will you withdraw from the noise every day, week, and month? And how will you return? Obviously the second is driven by the first. What happens when we create space in our schedule and day to be with Jesus.

AS WE ESTABLISH A PATTERN OF WITHDRAWING, WHAT ADJUSTMENTS WILL RESULT IN OUR POSTURE WHEN WE RETURN TO THE PLACES WE INHABIT?

We are believing that as we create space for God to speak that the Holy Spirit will help us see Jesus like never before, both as a person and as a people. We hope that you are planning on joining us in this journey.

You. Me. Us.
