Day 6: Alignment (Prayer Guide)
Our Father in heaven, Reveal who you are.
Set the world right; Do what’s best—as above, so below.
Matthew 6:9-13, MSG
Day 6: Alignment
READ.
Read the following verses. As you read, pause and pray over anything that sticks out to you. Do not rush. In fact, consider starting this time in silence for :30-:60 and ask God to be near as you pray.
Matthew 6:13
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Take a few moments to sit still with the Lord. Come to a posture of openness, palms face up in a position of surrender.
What thoughts come to mind?
What words or ideas did the Holy Spirit draw your attention to?
PRAY.
Read over this prayer and modify it as you need to. Allow yourself to talk to God without judgement and without censoring yourself.
Oh Lord my God, mighty one, creator of all things, restorer of all things, show me what all of this has to do with me.
In and out of alignment with my God, my Purpose, my Lover, my Maker.
Consumed by my own longings, my own suffering, my resentful unanswered prayers,
My vanity, my self sufficiency, my good deeds, my complacency,
Oh this Divine dance we play as you faithfully pursue me.
As I press in and press through to myself and remember your grace,
will you reveal to me my place here, in this world,
and your place within me?
I am yours, and you are who you say you are.
You always have been and always will be.
From glory to glory, you make yourself known.
From glory to glory, always up to new things.
You are worthy of it all.
Make yourself at home
On the earth
within me.
Hallelujah.
